Building spatial operating systems and the XR headsets that run them. 为戴在脸上的硬件,构建软硬件的基石

I started in 2008 with a UGC platform for anime fan creators. Since then I've worked at the front of the AR/VR wave at every step: HTC Vive when room-scale was new, Xiaomi VR co-developing the Oculus Go with Meta, my own startup Vyou (3D avatar UGC), and now PICO OS at ByteDance — owning the OS spec for the entire PICO headset family. 从 2008 年搭建一个早期的 ACG UGC 社区起步,我有幸作为从业者,切身参与了 XR 演进的几次浪潮:在 HTC Vive 早期,和行业一起摸索 Room-Scale VR 的边界;在小米,与 Meta 的伙伴跨国协作,推动小米 VR 一体机和 Oculus Go 的联合研发,并将这样的大众级设备带给百万个家庭;后来创立 Vyou,在移动端探索高自由度的 3D 虚拟形象与数字自我表达;直至在字节跳动,负责统筹 PICO 头显的 OS 产品,努力为多维度的空间计算搭建系统基石。

To me, XR isn't a device; it's a new architecture of reality. My work lives in the interplay between hardware, runtime, render, perception, interaction, system experience, apps, and SDK. I focus on how that full stack — and the teams behind it — defines the next era of human-computer interface. 过去这些年,我的工作大多是穿梭于底层运行时、渲染引擎、环境感知、人机交互、系统体验与开发者工具的交汇处。面对庞杂厚重的技术栈,我尝试去做的,是在机器的底层逻辑与人类的直觉之间寻找最恰当的平衡。这条路漫长且充满未知,我很庆幸能与一群极具才华的工程师和设计师并肩作战,把那些曾经只存在于概念里的产品,一代代交付到用户手中。
